Part 1. Corporate Identity Package (see part
2 below)
Assignment:
The "A to Z" Paint Company" has accepted your bid to
develop a logo and a plan to implement it for them. They are a brand
new national paint manufacturing company with an unlimited art budget.
They have a full line of paint products, for example paints in every
color of the rainbow, grushes in all sizes and for any application,
drop cloths and etc.
Objective:
To familiarize yourself with the process involved in logo/trademark
design and its application to a stationary system. To design a logo/trademark
that is self promotional and can be used to identify yourself or your
company.
Guidelines:
They are open minded to anything you want to do. The only limitation
is that the logo has to be effective in color and in black and white.
They want to see three versions of a logo in 1. color, and 2. black
and white. They want to see each version on stationary (letterhead,
envelope and business card).
- Version 1: A design using only type. (color version and b/w version)
- Version 2: A design using only basic shapes. (color version and
b/w version)
- Version 3: A design using basic shapes and type together. (color
version and b/w version)
Software:
Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator
Output Specs:
150 line, one file - K only, one file - cmyk.

Part 2. Extend the branding
Utilize your best logo version (color version) in one
of the following categories:
- brochure (8.5x11 trifold)
- packaging (cans and brushes)
- signage system
- corporate identity manual
Objective:
To familiarize yourself with the process involved in extending a brand.
To understand the variables that influence related within family
designs.
Software:
Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator
Output Specs:
150 line, one or more file(s) - cmyk.
